Tired of looking for a separate remote every time you want to change your LED lighting? The Gledopto GL-C-218M is a Matter-enabled controller for 12–24 V RGBCCT, also known as RGB+CCT, LED strips. You can dim the lights, pick a colour and adjust the white tone from warm to cool using your phone, voice commands or smart home automations.

It works with compatible Matter platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Once connected, your LED strip becomes part of your smart home setup, so you can control it alongside your lamps, sensors and other devices from one app.

How can you use it day to day?

Start the morning with bright, cool white light while you work or cook. In the evening, switch to a softer, warmer tone to help you unwind. For movie nights, parties or a more colourful atmosphere, simply choose one of the RGB colours.

You can also include the controller in your smart home routines. For example, the LED strip can:

• light up the hallway at a lower brightness during the night;

Thanks to its compact design, the controller can be hidden inside furniture, behind a panel or anywhere else suitable, as long as it can still get a stable Wi-Fi signal. According to the manufacturer, it measures 108 × 45 × 18 mm.

How do you connect it?

The controller sits between a 12 V or 24 V power supply and your RGBCCT LED strip.

1. Unplug the power supply from the mains.
2. Make sure the LED strip and power supply use the same voltage — either 12 V or 24 V.
3. Connect the LED strip wires to the controller terminals marked V+, R, G, B, C and W. C is for cool white, while W is for warm white.
4. Connect the controller to a suitable power supply and double-check that all wires are in the right terminals.
5. Turn the power back on and add a new Matter device in your smart home app.
6. Follow the instructions in the app, choose a room and give the light a name.

If the app can’t find the controller, press and hold the reset button for about five seconds. Once the LED strip starts pulsing, try adding the device again.

What to check before buying

This controller is made for 12–24 V analogue RGBCCT LED strips with a shared V+ connection and six terminals. It won’t work with 230 V LED strips or addressable digital strips where each individual LED can be controlled separately.

The controller doesn’t convert 230 V mains power. You’ll need a suitable 12 V or 24 V constant-voltage power supply for your LED strip.

With an IP20 rating, the controller is designed for dry indoor spaces. Always disconnect the power before connecting or changing any wires.
