Smart Vibration Sensor Aqara T1
Aqara T1 Vibration Sensor: A Small Sensor That Keeps an Eye on Your Home
Motion sensors detect movement in a room, while door sensors let you know when a door or window opens. But what if you want to protect a specific item or keep track of what's happening with your appliances? The Aqara Vibration Sensor T1 detects vibrations, impacts, and changes in position, helping you keep an eye on things that other sensors might miss.
About the size of a coin, this little sensor is easy to hide almost anywhere. It detects three types of events: vibration, tilt, and falling. Use it to add an extra layer of security or set up handy automations that make everyday life easier.

What Can the Aqara T1 Detect? Three Functions in One
-
Vibrations and impacts (for added security): Attach the sensor to a windowpane to help detect potential break-ins. If someone tries to smash the glass or force the window open, the sensor can detect the impact and trigger an alarm before the window is opened.
-
Tilt and changes in position (to keep things in check): The sensor detects when its angle changes. Attach it to a safe door, a hidden drawer, a medicine cabinet, or your mailbox lid. If someone opens it, you'll get a notification on your phone.
-
Movement and falling objects (to protect valuables): Attach the sensor discreetly under expensive equipment or to a painting or vase. If the item is moved or knocked over, the sensor can trigger an alert or another automation you've set up.
What's New in the Aqara T1?
The T1 is an updated model designed to respond quickly and work reliably as part of your smart home setup.
-
Zigbee 3.0 and local automations: Zigbee 3.0 helps the sensor communicate quickly with your smart home system. Even better, security automations, such as triggering a siren, can keep working locally even if your internet connection goes down!
-
Adjustable sensitivity (to help prevent false alarms): Worried the sensor might react every time a heavy truck drives past? In the Aqara app, you can choose from three sensitivity levels: Low, Medium, and High. Adjust the setting to suit the location and avoid unnecessary alerts.
-
Over-the-air updates (OTA): Unlike the older model, the T1 series supports remote firmware updates. You can keep the sensor up to date without having to connect it to a computer.
-
Long battery life: The sensor runs on a single CR2032 battery, which can last up to two years.

How Can You Use It Around the House?
This little sensor can do much more than help protect your home. It's a handy way to add smart automations that make everyday routines easier.
-
Get notified when your laundry is done: Attach the sensor to your washing machine or dryer. It detects vibrations while the appliance is running. When the vibrations stop for a set period, you'll receive a notification: "Your laundry is done!". No more checking the machine every few minutes.
-
Control devices with a couple of knocks: Attach the sensor underneath your desk and set up an automation. For example, two quick knocks on the tabletop could turn on your desk lamp or start your computer.
-
A doorbell without a button: Attach the sensor to the inside of your front door. When someone knocks, the sensor detects the vibrations. With the right automation set up, your Aqara Hub can play a doorbell chime.
-
Know when your mail arrives: Attach the sensor to your mailbox lid. When the mail carrier drops off a letter or parcel and the lid moves, you'll get a notification on your phone. No need to keep going outside to check an empty mailbox.

Compatibility and Easy Installation
The sensor is small enough to stay out of sight and fit into your home without affecting the look of your interior. Installation takes about 10 seconds: just peel off the protective backing and stick it to the surface using the included double-sided adhesive tape. No tools needed.
When connected to an Aqara hub, the sensor supports the Matter standard and can be integrated with popular smart home platforms, including Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Home Assistant, and others.
